ASSISTANT PROFESSOR BCA – COMPUTER SCIENCE, PROGRAMMING AND DBMS – BIHAR – FULL TIME, ON-SITE

We are hiring Assistant Professors for the BCA department of a well-established higher education institution in Bihar. You will teach core computer science subjects, run programming and database practicals, and mentor undergraduate students on projects and career paths in software and IT.

SUBJECTS AND SPECIALISATIONS

• Programming in C, C++, Java and Python

• Data Structures and Algorithms

• Database Management Systems (DBMS) and SQL

• Computer Networks, Operating Systems and Computer Organisation

• Web Technologies, Software Engineering, Discrete Mathematics and related computer science subjects

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in the relevant discipline (MCA / M.Sc. Computer Science / M.Tech CSE or equivalent) as per applicable norms.

• NET or SET qualified candidates will be preferred.

• Candidates with a Ph.D. in the relevant discipline will be given additional preference.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver quality lectures as per the prescribed university curriculum.

• Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments and academic resources.

• Conduct practicals, tutorials, case studies, assessments and other academic activities.

• Maintain student attendance and academic records.

• Mentor and guide students on academic, project and career-related matters.

• Participate in examinations, evaluation, seminars, workshops and institutional activities.

• Contribute to research, publications, academic development and departmental activities.

• Coordinate with the HOD and Academic Coordinator and maintain proper academic documentation.

• Ensure timely completion of the syllabus and all assigned academic responsibilities.

• Follow institutional policies, reporting hierarchy, discipline and academic requirements.

PREFERRED PROFILE

• 4-5+ years of teaching experience in a reputed college, university or autonomous institute.

• Strong subject command in the specialisations listed above.

• Research publications in UGC CARE / Scopus listed journals will be an advantage.

• Experience with university examination, evaluation and academic documentation processes.

• Candidates currently based in or willing to relocate to Bihar.
