## Job Overview

We are hiring an experienced \*\*Category Manager\*\* for an e-commerce company based in Noida.

The selected candidate will be responsible for driving category growth, revenue, profitability, assortment planning, vendor management, pricing, promotions, inventory planning, and overall category performance.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in an e-commerce marketplace, retail company, D2C brand, online marketplace, or consumer-focused business.

## Key Responsibilities

\* Develop and execute the growth strategy for the assigned product category.

\* Own category revenue, gross margin, profitability, and growth targets.

\* Build a competitive and customer-focused product assortment.

\* Identify and onboard new brands, vendors, distributors, and sellers.

\* Negotiate margins, pricing, payment terms, and promotional support.

\* Track competitor pricing, product assortment, and promotional activities.

\* Plan seasonal campaigns, discounts, and category-level promotions.

\* Monitor inventory, stock ageing, out-of-stock rates, and sell-through.

\* Support demand forecasting, replenishment, and procurement planning.

\* Analyse sales trends, customer behaviour, and category performance.

\* Prepare weekly and monthly business reviews.

\* Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, finance, operations, product, and technology teams.

\* Drive improvements in product visibility, conversion, and customer experience.

## Candidate Profile

\* 4–8 years of experience in category management, e-commerce, buying, merchandising, vendor management, or business growth.

\* Experience working with an e-commerce marketplace, retail company, D2C brand, or omnichannel business.

\* Strong understanding of category P&L, pricing, margins, promotions, and inventory.

\* Strong analytical, negotiation, and commercial decision-making skills.

\* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.

\* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

\* Willingness to work full-time from the office in Noida.

## Preferred Qualifications

\* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Retail Management, Economics, or a related field.

\* MBA or postgraduate qualification will be preferred.

\* Prior experience independently managing an e-commerce category.

\* Strong relationships with brands, manufacturers, distributors, vendors, or sellers.
