Job Title: Dean – Mechanical Engineering

Eligibility Criteria:
Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline (mandatory).
Strong academic record throughout.
Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade).
Experience Requirements:
Minimum 12–15 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in higher education.
Must have worked as Associate Professor or Assistant Professor with demonstrated academic leadership responsibilities.
Prior experience in a Dean / Associate Dean / Head of Department / Academic Leadership role is highly preferred.
Strong research profile with publications in reputed / indexed journals.
Experience in securing research grants, funded projects, consultancy, or industry collaborations is an added advantage.

Role & Responsibilities:
Provide academic and strategic leadership to the Mechanical Engineering department.
Lead curriculum design and modernization aligned with industry trends, accreditation standards, and emerging technologies.
Oversee faculty recruitment, development, mentoring, and performance management.
Promote a culture of research, innovation, publications, patents, and funded projects.
Strengthen industry partnerships, consultancy projects, internships, and placement initiatives.
Ensure excellence in teaching quality, student engagement, and academic governance.
Drive accreditation processes (NBA / NAAC) and institutional compliance.
Support student development, laboratories, workshops, and research infrastructure.
