About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and well-networked Freelance Business Development Consultant to help Savanna HR acquire new clients and build long-term relationships with employers.

The role will involve both client hunting and client farming.

Client hunting will include identifying, approaching, and converting new employers into recruitment partners.

Client farming will include strengthening relationships, generating repeat mandates, and expanding business opportunities within existing and newly acquired accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify companies with current or upcoming hiring requirements.

• Generate business opportunities for permanent recruitment, leadership hiring, specialised search, and RPO services.

• Connect with CHROs, HR Heads, Talent Acquisition Leaders, Founders, CXOs, and Business Heads.

• Introduce Savanna HR’s recruitment services to prospective clients.

• Conduct introductory meetings and understand clients’ hiring challenges.

• Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified business prospects.

• Follow up with potential clients and drive discussions towards empanelment and commercial closure.

• Support proposal sharing, commercial discussions, agreements, and client onboarding.

• Develop relationships with acquired clients to generate recurring recruitment mandates.

• Identify opportunities to expand services across functions, locations, and business units.

• Maintain regular updates on leads, discussions, opportunities, and expected closures.

• Collaborate with Savanna HR’s recruitment team to ensure smooth delivery and client servicing.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Prior experience in business development, client acquisition, key account management, or recruitment consulting.

• Strong understanding of recruitment, staffing, executive search, or RPO services.

• Existing network among HR leaders, Talent Acquisition Heads, Founders, CXOs, and hiring decision-makers.

• Proven ability to generate and convert B2B leads.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage the complete business development cycle.

• Comfortable working in a performance-driven freelance role.

• Ability to represent Savanna HR professionally in client conversations.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in recruitment agencies, staffing firms, executive search companies, HR consulting, RPO, HR technology, SaaS sales, corporate Talent Acquisition, or independent HR consulting will be preferred.

Professionals who have worked as Recruitment Business Development Managers, Client Acquisition Managers, Key Account Managers, Staffing Sales Professionals, Recruitment Consultants, or Agency Leaders are encouraged to apply.
