About the Role
We are looking for a Marketing Engineer with deep hands-on martech experience to support and scale a sophisticated Marketing Operations ecosystem. You will own technical implementation, system integrations, data flows, and automation across the marketing technology stack. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building highly connected, measurable, and automated marketing systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimise marketing automation programs, workflows, lifecycle processes, and data models within the core MAP (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, or equivalent).
- Configure and manage CRM-side marketing processes through platform administration and low-code development (e.g., Salesforce Flows, custom objects).
- Own integrations between marketing platforms and core business systems using iPaaS tools (e.g., Workato, Zapier), API-based connectors, or native integrations.
- Administer and configure key martech platforms including intent and ABM tools, web analytics (GA4), data enrichment and AI automation tools, and integration middleware.
- Develop and maintain lead scoring models, marketing attribution frameworks, lead routing logic, and campaign tracking infrastructure.
- Monitor system health across the martech stack, troubleshoot data sync issues, and ensure reliable data flow between marketing tools and CRM.
- Implement and govern advanced tracking including UTM taxonomy, conversion event configuration, and multi-touch attribution models.
- Collaborate with Marketing Ops and Revenue Operations teams on cross-system data flows, reporting pipelines, and data normalisation.
- Evaluate emerging martech tools and technologies; support vendor assessment and technical implementation of new platforms.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, workflow diagrams, integration architecture maps, and system runbooks.
- Support data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and regional equivalents) and email deliverability best practices.
Requirements
- Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Marketing Operations, Martech Engineering, or GTM Engineering roles.
- MAP Expertise: Deep functional and technical expertise in at least one major marketing automation platform (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua).
- CRM Proficiency: Working knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365) including admin-level configuration.
- Martech Stack: Demonstrated experience with B2B martech tools such as ABM/intent platforms, web analytics, enrichment tools, event platforms, direct mail tools, interactive demo tools, and integration middleware.
- Integration Skills: Ability to build and maintain API-driven integrations, automation logic, and complex multi-step workflows across systems.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with experience building attribution models, lifecycle stage definitions, scoring frameworks, and routing rules.
- Data Fluency: Comfortable working with data models, transformation logic, system architecture, and ideally SQL for reporting and analysis.
- Communication: Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication skills.
Nice to Have
- CRM platform certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder).
- Experience with marketing influence and attribution reporting tools or frameworks.
- Familiarity with SQL, data warehousing concepts, or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI).
- Background in B2B SaaS, technology, or high-growth environments.
- Experience supporting global or distributed marketing teams.
