We are seeking a highly accomplished academic leader for the position of Professor & Head of Department (HOD) – Aerospace Engineering. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of academic excellence, research achievements, administrative leadership, and industry engagement in the areas of Aerospace Engineering, UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), Aerospace Technology, and Space Technology.
The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the department’s academic, research, innovation, and strategic initiatives while fostering excellence in teaching, student development, and industry collaboration.
Educational Qualifications
PhD (Mandatory) in one of the following disciplines:
Aerospace Engineering
Electronics & Communication Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Or other allied Aerospace-related disciplines
Consistently strong academic record throughout education.
Preferred Areas of Expertise
Candidates should demonstrate substantial teaching, research, and/or industry experience in one or more of the following domains:

Avionics and Embedded Systems

Key Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
Lead and manage the Aerospace Engineering Department in alignment with institutional goals.
Develop and implement academic strategies to enhance teaching quality and student outcomes.
Mentor faculty members and support their professional growth.
Ensure compliance with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Teaching & Curriculum Development
Teach undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral-level courses.
Design and update curriculum in line with emerging industry trends and technological advancements.
Introduce interdisciplinary programs and industry-relevant learning initiatives.
Research & Innovation
Establish and lead high-impact research initiatives in Aerospace, UAVs, and Space Technology.
Publish research work in reputed journals and conferences.
Secure sponsored research projects, grants, and consultancy assignments.
Promote innovation, patent filing, and technology commercialization activities.
Industry & Institutional Collaboration
Develop partnerships with aerospace organizations, research laboratories, government agencies, and industry stakeholders.
Facilitate internships, industry projects, and collaborative research opportunities.
Represent the department in academic and professional forums.
Department Administration
Oversee departmental planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and faculty recruitment.
Monitor academic performance, research output, and departmental growth.
Support student development initiatives and placement activities.
Experience Requirements
Significant academic experience as Professor/Associate Professor in reputed universities or institutions.
Demonstrated experience in academic administration, department leadership, or institutional management.
Strong record of publications, funded research projects, patents, and scholarly contributions.
Experience in establishing research centers, laboratories, or innovation ecosystems will be preferred.
