Purchase Executive – Engineering Procurement and Vendor Management | Gurgaon (Sohna Road) | Work from Office | Full Time | INR 4–7 LPA

A global engineering group that delivers turnkey industrial projects for automotive manufacturers is building its India team in Gurgaon. We are hiring a Purchase Executive with 2–5 years of experience buying steel, fabrication, electrical items, consumables and services for engineering or EPC projects. You will source, negotiate and deliver material to project sites at customer plants, on time and within budget.

POSITION SNAPSHOT

• Role: Purchase Executive (Projects)

• Location: Sohna Road, Gurgaon, Haryana – work from office, travel to project sites when needed

• Experience: 2–5 years

• Salary: INR 4–7 LPA fixed, depending on experience

• Benefits: PF, ESI where applicable, and health insurance, on top of gross salary

• Working days: 6 days a week, Indian shift (5-day-week candidates also considered)

• Probation: 6 months

• Reports to: General Manager – Operations and Administration

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Raise RFQs, compare quotations and issue purchase orders for steel, fabrication, electrical, piping, consumables and tools

• Build and maintain a vendor base in Delhi NCR and near project sites (fabricators, electrical contractors, transporters, hire services)

• Negotiate price, delivery and payment terms; follow up on dispatch and delivery to customer sites

• Coordinate with project engineers on material requirements, specifications and delivery schedules

• Arrange logistics: transport, e-way bills, and site receipt with GRN documents

• Track purchase budgets per project and keep vendor records, POs and invoices ready for accounts

• Support imports: documentation, customs clearance and freight forwarders

• Handle vendor registration and GST compliance checks, and match invoices against POs

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Diploma or B.Tech (Mechanical or Electrical), or any graduate with technical buying experience

• 2–5 years in purchase for an engineering, fabrication, EPC or project company

• Knowledge of steel, fabrication, electrical and industrial consumables pricing

• Working knowledge of GST, e-way bills and PO-based ERP or Tally

• Willing to travel to project sites when needed

PREFERRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

• Conveyor, HVAC, material-handling or other industrial turnkey projects

• Import purchase experience

• Strong negotiator with a follow-up mindset

• Organised with documentation and budgets

• High integrity in vendor dealings

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

A technical buyer from the projects world. Retail, FMCG or office-only purchase profiles will not fit.
