We are hiring a Senior Software Architect to lead backend engineering teams for a large consumer digital platform serving millions of users across global markets. Its Hyderabad technology hub owns the cloud native platforms behind large scale live events, real time delivery, subscriptions, commerce and personalisation. You will drive architecture and delivery of scalable SaaS and platform capabilities on Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, Node.js and AWS, while mentoring the engineers who build them.

POSITION SNAPSHOT

• Role: Senior Software Architect (Backend Platforms, hands on plus people leadership)

• Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years in architecture, HLD and LLD

• Location: Hyderabad, Telangana (Work From Office)

• Employment type: Full Time, Permanent

• Compensation: INR 65 to 85 LPA

• Tech stack: Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, Microservices, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, REST APIs, CI/CD

• Notice period: Immediate to 60 days preferred

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor a team of backend and full stack engineers building scalable distributed systems

• Review and guide engineers on low level design, pseudocode, algorithms, design patterns and implementation quality

• Drive architecture, design and delivery of cloud native applications and microservices

• Partner with Product Managers, Architects, QA, DevOps and cross functional stakeholders

• Own engineering execution, sprint planning, roadmap delivery and operational excellence

• Build highly available and resilient systems on AWS cloud infrastructure

• Champion CI/CD, code reviews, observability, security and performance optimisation

• Drive modernisation from monolithic systems to event driven microservices architectures

• Support hiring, team scaling, career development and performance management

• Ensure systems stay scalable, secure and optimised for high traffic, low latency environments

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in architecture design, HLD and LLD

• Java and Spring Boot, hands on

• Microservices architecture and system design patterns

• Node.js and TypeScript

• REST API design

• AWS cloud services

• Experience building SaaS platforms or large scale distributed systems

• Event driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka

• Docker and Kubernetes

• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps culture

• Agile delivery, strong stakeholder management and communication

• Ability to balance hands on technical contribution with people leadership

PREFERRED / BONUS SKILLS

• OTT, media streaming, AdTech, payments or subscription platforms

• High scale consumer applications serving global audiences

• Observability tooling such as Datadog, Grafana or ELK

• React or wider frontend ecosystem exposure

• AI assisted engineering workflows or platform automation initiatives

PREFERRED INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

• Large consumer internet, OTT, streaming, gaming, e commerce, fintech or subscription products

• Any platform where traffic arrives in sudden waves and the system has to hold

• Coaching and mentoring instinct, with a track record of growing engineers

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

An architect who still reads pull requests. Someone who can set the high level design, then sit with an engineer and work through the low level one, and who measures success by whether the team ships reliably rather than by how many diagrams they produced. If you have led backend teams through a monolith to microservices migration on AWS and enjoyed it, this will suit you.
