We are hiring a Store Manager for a contemporary Indian fashion label opening its flagship store at Ballard Estate, South Mumbai. The brand is built around slow fashion, conscious consumption, locally sourced fabrics and timeless design rather than short-lived trends. You will own end-to-end retail store operations — store sales, clienteling, visual merchandising, inventory accuracy and team management — and deliver a premium in-store brand experience to a discerning South Mumbai customer.

This is a hands-on, target-driven retail management role for someone from premium apparel, designer wear, luxury fashion or D2C fashion retail.

\*\*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES\*\*

​

• Manage complete day-to-day store operations and uphold brand and SOP standards

• Drive store sales, revenue and profitability against monthly and annual targets

• Lead, motivate, roster and manage the store sales team

• Deliver an outstanding customer experience and build a strong clienteling programme

• Build and nurture relationships with new and existing customers to drive repeat purchase and retention

• Handle premium customer interactions and resolve escalations professionally

• Track daily store KPIs — sales, conversion, ATV, UPT, walk-ins and footfall conversion

• Prepare and share daily, weekly and monthly sales reports with Head Office

• Execute visual merchandising and store display as per brand guidelines

• Monitor stock availability, replenishment, inward and outward movement and inventory accuracy

• Coordinate with warehouse, merchandising and HO teams on stock requirements

• Ensure billing accuracy, cash handling discipline and POS compliance

• Maintain store hygiene, presentation and operational readiness at all times

• Monitor team attendance, grooming and discipline

• Train and coach the team on product knowledge, selling skills and customer engagement

• Support new collection launches, promotions and in-store events

• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs and loss-prevention practices

• Share market, competition and customer preference feedback with management

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\*\*

​

• 5–8 years in apparel or fashion retail, with store management exposure

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding retail sales targets

• Strong understanding of retail store operations and retail P&L levers

• Hands-on experience with POS systems, inventory management and retail reporting

• Strong clienteling, CRM and relationship-management skills

• Team handling, rostering and people-management ability

• Excellent customer service and communication skills in English and Hindi

• Comfort working in a target-driven retail environment
